WRITING

With my 2:1 BA (Hons) English Literature with Creative Writing degree, I am an eloquent writer and enjoy exploring ideas with different modes of writing. My interest in writing surrounds women’s issues, fashion, beauty, the modelling industry, and linking this to history, culture or mythology.

During my time at Surrey University, I explored my writing, finding a love for prose and poetry specifically. I also wrote academic pieces, such as a piece on how the 2020 game Animal Crossing related to an adult audience, referencing psychology and the impacts of the pandemic. This received a 1st class grade, with publishable quality. I undertook a creative writing portfolio for my dissertation, writing a poetry anthology surrounding women’s issues, linking to Greek Mythology, culture, and feminist scholars. I took additional classes in Film Studies, writing several Film papers; now with an understanding of the meaning behind film and the ability to read a technical film script. Moreover, I was also the Social Media Manager for the English Literature Society.

I recently started a blog newsletter on Substack, where I plan to write weekly articles on topics surrounding body diversity, fashion, beauty, culture, the modelling industry, and more. These will also be published on the Blog section of this portfolio website.
